We are proud to have closed agreements with off takers covering the Indian City Gas Distribution (CGD) Market. Our Tri Party Agreement is governed by the CBG-CGD Synchronization Scheme introduced by India’s Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas in 2021. Learn more about our partners here.

Gas Authority of India Limited — GAIL is an Indian state-owned energy corporation with primary interests in the trade, transmission, and distribution of natural gas. GAIL owns and operates a network of approximately 13,722 km of natural gas pipelines and is constructing around 6,000 km of pipelines independently, along with an additional 2,000 km through two joint ventures, as part of the Natural Gas Grid. We signed a long-term agreement with GAIL, under which GAIL will purchase biogas from us based on a fixed pricing formula until 2034.

Torrent Gas — Torrent Gas, part of the Torrent Group, is a key player in the Indian energy sector, focusing on the distribution and marketing of natural gas. The company provides Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) for vehicles and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) for residential, commercial, and industrial use. Torrent Gas holds a license to operate in 19 Geographic Areas (GAs) across India. Jwala Bioenergy will supply biogas from our first plant into the grid operated by Torrent Gas in the districts of Sangrur, Patiala, and parts of SAS Nagar (Mohali) in Punjab.

Indian Oil Adani Gas Pvt Ltd (IOAGPL) — IOAGPL is a joint venture between Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., India’s largest state-owned oil and gas company, and Adani Total Gas Ltd., a leading private energy infrastructure player. It operates the City Gas Distribution (CGD) network across 19 Geographic Areas in India, including the Chandigarh tri-city region. Upgraded biogas (re-delivered by GAIL) from our flagship Dera Bassi project will be directly injected into IOAGPL’s pipelines for distribution through the Chandigarh CGD network.
