Our Board of Directors

  • Ashok Benjamin Attumaly

    Benjamin is the Chairman of the Board of Jwala Bioenergy. A mechanial engineer from IIT Delhi, he has over a decade of experience in the shipping and energy industry and is also involved in biogas projects in rural India, promoting the use of biogas from agricultural residue.

  • Samar Singla

    Samar is a successful tech entrepreneur who has bootstrapped profitable startups including Clicklabs, Jugnoo, and Jungleworks. An alumnus of IIT Delhi (2009), he is a reputed venture investor in India and has been involved with Jwala Bioenergy since 2022.

  • Alexander Eriksen

    Alexander is the founder of Front Row Capital. A two-time Danish-American founder, he is passionate about scaling ventures that create a significant impact.

Project Team in India

  • Cdr. Subodh Rao

    Head of Projects
    Cdr. Subodh Rao (Retd, IN) joined Jwala Bioenergy India as its Head of Projects with effect from 1st July 2024. He is a Military Veteran, who comes with 14 years of experience in overseeing large scale ship-building/ ship repair projects for the Indian Navy. Post his retirement from active service in Aug 2022, he had a brief stint with Morgan Stanley as a Program Manager in their Wealth Management division.

  • Dhruv Agrawal

    Business Development and Legal
    Dhruv Agrawal is a graduate of Symbiosis Law school. He looks after business development and legal. Having been interested in energy and sustainability from a young age, he did several internships at leading CGD companies like Think Gas and IGL before joining Jwala Bioenergy.

  • Darshpreet Singh

    Community Engagement Manager
    Darshpreet Singh leads our engagement with RGR Cell and works closely with the local communities in the vicinity of our project. A literature graduate, Darshpreet is passionate about the environment and the cause of livelihood improvement of farmers. Darshpreet tours extensively in the villages educating farmers about sustainable practices, preventing stubbble burning and ensuring timely collection of paddy straw.

  • Priyaranjan Sinha

    Senior Business Developer (part-time)
    Priyaranjan Sinha comes with more than 20 years of business development experience in the renewable segment. He was an early pioneer of microgrid projects, working on impactful projects to bring electricity in remote regions of India. He leads the business development activities of the company – expanding our footprint of projects.

  • Himanshu Chandrabhushan Sharma

    Funding Project Manager (part-time)
    Himanshu works part-time for Jwala Bioenergy alongside his full-time MBA education at the FMS, New Delhi. Himanshu is a graduate of IIT Bombay and worked 2 years in Tata Projects prior to joining MBA school. Himanshu works closely with the company’s executive leadership and has been pivotal in the financial modelling of the project as well as in fundraising related activities of the company.

  • Devangshu Boro

    Communication and Marketing Manager (part-time)
    Devangshu takes care of marketing activities and communications for Jwala Bioenergy, alongside his full-time MBA at FMS, New Delhi. He is a graduate of Delhi University, with an M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology from National Forensic Sciences University and worked at Numaligarh Refinery Limited with the marketing team prior to joining Jwala Bioenergy.
